JUSTYNA NERYNG: PHOTOGRAPHER
Featured Work From a Follower of The NYC Mind. UK in The House.
Born in Chelmsko 1981, Poland, Justyna Neryng spent much of her childhood playing with her father’s cameras and dark room while roaming the forests of Chelmsko on the Czech boarder. As an adult, a mother and an immigrant to Britain, her photography has flourished into a substantial body of portraiture. Perhaps the most evocative of her works are her exquisitely emotive self-portraits that seem to carry the dark spirit of the forest from her childhood as well as potently baring the scares of modern womanhood. They show vulnerability and intimate eroticism as well as a deep sense of isolation and alienation .It is these portraits that have been most published and exhibited in both in her polish homeland and in the UK.
More recently Justyna has begun to collaborate with her daughter Nell, on a project called Childhood Lost.
Justyna currently produces her works in her adopted hometown of Brighton and Hove , where she lives with her daughter.
OSSOMETRIA by Marina MoshkovichHaifa based fashion photographer Marina Moshkovich is finally making her debut on Ben Trovato, and that with a unique and experimental story featuring model Vlada Cox. Jewelry was provided by Hila Kaminer. “The name of the project is derived from Italian, meaning ‘bone-matter’, the material of essence,” Marina explains and continues: “The very base of humanity, our body and its unique structure, inspired me to explore the inner architecture of our physical vessel, the shapes and meaning of the internal organs and led me to create pieces in their image. The outer body distinguish one person from the other, however, the inner body is shaped and structured similarly, making us all, by essence interlinked and connected to one another with the bond of resemblance. The project examines the transformation of flat surfaces into three dimensional objects and the relations between structure and mantle.”
